CA-CONNECT
Version 1.5c now supports XP. The choice is yours, install
CA-CONNECT or use the Microsoft client (install steps shown below).
CA-CONNECT is a PPPoE Client that we provide to our DSL customers to
get them connected to our DSL. Windows XP supports PPPoE nativly,
meaning it is built into windows.

1. Click START - Control Panel and click
'Network and Internet Connections' (Shown below in
Yellow)

3. Click 'Create a new connection' (Shown below with the arrow)

5. Click 'Connect to the Internet' and click 'Next

6. Click 'Set up my connection manually' and click
'Next >'

7. Click 'Connect using a broadband connection that
requires a user name and password' and click 'Next >'

8. Type in 'CascadeAccess' and click 'Next

9. Type in your username and password and click 'Next

These are
usernames and passwords that CascadeAccess provided to you when you
signed up. Also don't forget the '@cascadeaccess.com' What you type
here must match EXACTLY to the information CascadeAccess provided to
you. It is case sensitive. (This is NOT your e-mail
address)

10. This is your option to 'Add a shortcut' to your
desktop

11. You will now see the CascadeAccess Broadband
connection in your Network Connections.

12. If you chose the option of having a desktop
shortcut you will see this on your desktop.
Double clicking
on this icon or the desktop icon will bring up a Connect
CascadeAccess box.

13. Clicking on this broadband connection should pop
up this box. Click connect.

14. When you see this...you have successfully
connected.

What if I want an always on connection? No
problem...follow these easy steps. What you need to do is
copy the Cascade Access Broadband shortcut to your startup for all
users (or individual users if you'd like).
1. First we must remove the prompting for username
and password. Right click on the CascadeAccess Broadband connection
and click on 'properties'

2. Click to the 'Options' tab at the top of the
window and uncheck 'Prompt for name and password, certificate, etc.'
Click 'OK'

3. Now we need to explore to 'Documents and
Settings' for 'All Users' and find the 'Startup' folder

4. You need to copy the CascadeAccess shortcut into
this folder. The easiest way to do this is to copy the one from your
desktop.

5. That's all there is to it. Now when you login to
your machine you will see the CascadeAccess connecting when you
login. (As shown below)
When you see
this... you have successfully connected.
